Of all the things Pres. Biden has done to destroy the country's economy, he is talking about controlling the cost of drugs.
This is on the effort, I would wholeheartedly support with great enthusiasm.
As a doctor and as a Medicare insurance agent, I have seen the cost of drugs that are in the stratosphere. The same drugs cost less than 10% in most other countries.
One blood, thinner is $500 per month or $6000 per year. No family can afford that kind of price and put food on their tables. Most new drugs are prices rip off the American people. Pfizer made over $55 billion from the covid vaccine.
WE all should join hands in supporting any legislation that puts a lid on these ungodly drug costs.
I believe in a Capitalistic society. I believe in corporations making profits. But, they cannot rub people in this county with drug costs that cost more than a year's salary of some Americans.
It should not be a partisan issue. The elderly parents of most legislators are being targeted by the drug companies, where the seniors have to decide between their evening meals versus a hear thrill or cancer pill.
Talks are fine. But, we need action. Pres. Trump brought a moratorium on Insulin in 2021, which brought the cost of insulin to a max of $35 per month.
In England, the drug costs are the same fixed price for all citizens.
This so-called Part D or prescription plan is a joke. You have to premiums, deductibles, co-pays, and more for the same drugs when you enter the donut hole.
