Way Back Wednesday: 80 years ago, this was the standard for Hereford cattle; a time when Herefords dominated the landscape and the cattle industry.

While these old publications (just like today’s advertisements) feature fluffed up, blocky Herefords in all their glory, Herefords on the range looked a lot more rugged and those photographs seldom make the cut. Many ranchers chose Herefords because of their feed conversion capabilities and their adaptability to most conditions.
