Once Upon a Time 🎩

Thank you to for hosting an impressive sparring session this past Saturday 5.18.24 and welcoming in some of the best striking talent in the greater area 🥊

The rounds were showcased were artistic, strategic and a little bit of that thunder when put this type class all in one room 🦾

Great work to all the athletes for showing up to ball out and keeping the collective in good standing as we departed.

We all compete in our loyal spaces but as a community - we only get stronger and make national waves when we can come together and let the best be with the best.

Hands raised to all of you in this present chapter and we must do this again in the future and even bigger 🔥

The dream is his entire life - 👑

Devon ‘The Dream’ Lozej captivated the masses on Saturday night with his electric Championship victory at Expo Center for the Mecca XXI.

For ‘The Dream - It was yet another bold step into the direction of his souls highest calling.

Speaking it into existence and actualizing his vision with the sheer will of a poor kid from Dryden who’s heart and mettle were forged in a bay guarded by thunder ⚡️

Devon and I got to know each other really well
over the last 3 months. Traveling to his home, meeting his family, teammates, and friends. Countless messages, phone calls and profound moments of affirmation - Learning the boundless shades of his deeply spirited self.

To tell a great story - especially one of human experiences - requires great vulnerability and even greater trust.

The Road To Gold was articulated and expressed through the trust of two strangers that had one striking commonalty - We believe in Dreams.

A great storyteller, must always have the courage walk with someone to their highest imagination and follow them into the darkest of their nightmares -

To listen -

to understand.

Devon entrusted me to spread his message of truth. His life of perseverance. His testimony to never back down, never give up, and always be fearless in your dreams.

I’m thankful of this time I have spent with Devon Lozej and proud of the story we were able to tell together.

What I will take most from this chapter on my journey to tell the greatest stories never told - is that two strangers can accomplish great feats simply by opening their souls and allowing great vulnerability

It is only here - which true friendship can be formed.

To my friend Devon - congratulations champ 👑

Violence Promised - Violence Delivered 🌹

For those that were present on Saturday Night for the combat sports showcase that was MECCA XX - The chanting after the 1st round TKO victory of the man we call ‘The Judge - - was something out of a movie where the the main character defied all the odds and came out victorious 💯

I’ve been a part of a lot of amazing moments both personally and professionally. This unquestionably ranks amongst the top 💪

This last month spending time with Ozzy Judge, has been an absolute honor for me. Being able to tell this wonderful story of a man that has so much subtext, and so many layers that I would need a full documentary to provide an adequate depiction of his career let alone his life.

You see, Ozzy’s old school. Where I train, with & over at . They all grew into this fight game together back when you had to train out of garages, sleep in backseats and warm up in dark wet bathrooms before fights in small little union halls 🥊

I always ask my coaches - how’d y’all meet .. the answer is always - by punching each other in the face 🫡

These guys are the truth 💯

I’ve had the opportunity to be impacted by men with great courage and resolve. Family men, with great values and honor 🤜🤛

is someone who opened the doorway for me to see into his passion, his family, his violence -

I couldn’t be more proud of telling this small part of his story. I couldn’t be more proud to be given this access. I couldn’t be more proud of my friend Ozzy Judge for his bravery.

I hope him and I get to do this again -

Either way .. One for the ages 🌗

The Second MSMA Uncommon Classic is officially in the books 💜

A night of high level, action packed Superfight grappling was showcased by the best grappling community in the 🇺🇸

grappling is a fellowship that is not only passionately growing but it is undeniably thriving.

I’m so proud to be apart of this movement upheld by a given few courageous outcasts that choose to show up every-single-day on the mats and dare to be something greater than what the last version of them could have ever imagined 🌓

The momentum is real -

This isn’t just for a singular school or athlete. It’s for all of us who represent the agency of Minnesota Grappling.
