Good evening friends! I ran my errands and got everything I wanted to do completed. I also did what I call some trinket shopping 🤣. I found some cute little decor items to add to what I already have for Spring. My definition for Trinket Shopping " things you could live without but they brighten your day " I usually get these at a great price😉 Well my last stop was the grocery store. Y'all I paid 6.69 cent for 1 carton of 18 large eggs😳. Friends if you have chicken coops you better start putting pad locks on your coops . I don't know what's going on with the eggs . I'm in the kitchen tomorrow. Y'all ready for a hearty but easy Casserole ? I'm listening to the local news and next week we will be the North instead of the South. A week of , wind chills in the teens, rain, ice ,sleet, snow and highs is in the 30's. I probably won't pop my head out until the all clear next Friday. Good Thursday Morning Friends! We have sunshine again this morning, here in South East Georgia. It's cool though, it went down into the 30's last night. They're talking snow for us possibly next week. It's been a few years since we've seen snow ❄️. We have had ice but I rather have snow. I'm off to do some errands this morning as soon as I do my morning routine. The grocery store is one of my stops . I can't wait to see what the price of eggs are ??? this week . What are Y'all doing today? I made my list of upcoming events and things I want to share with you yesterday. Y'all get ready! I'm going to be doing more lives with you so stay tuned. 🤣 Friends you know there my favorites. " What can go wrong will go wrong " especially with my Techie self ! At least we'll have some laughs. Good afternoon Friends! What's on the lunch menu for my feathered friends today ? It's a Sesame Seed Bun . They've been enjoying it ! I'm sitting looking out my back door, while working on getting Cookbooks out in the mail tomorrow. I'm also making errand list for my errand day tomorrow. I will put more bird seed on my need to get list . Don't you love nature and Bird watching. I saw an article the other day . It said it's a known fact , If you want to de-stress and have less anxiety. Go walking in nature or do some bird watching. Good Wednesday Morning Friends! The sunshine is out but it's still cool. I'm hearing some of that icy, snowy weather may be heading our way next week. So I'm making the most of the Sunshine for now. Thought I would share this with you . Don't forget to take care of you ! I know this from experience. I've always been a giver of my time and talents. Being a nurse also was a double whammy . I never had or made time for myself some weeks. Looking back maybe I should have been less giving of my time and took more for myself to enjoy the things I love to do . I guess, That's why I'm thankful to have made it to retirement and more time to do that . Not everyone makes it to this time in their life . So whatever your age take time for yourself , take care of you first , and enjoy the little things in life. Start today ! Y'all know what they say about old age "with it comes wisdom "🙂😉❤️ After my Morning routine I'm going to decide the plans for the rest of my day . It was Sunny and in the 50's today. I went outside took a walk and picked up pinecones and other debree the winds had blown in . There's not a lot to see this time of year but for those that haven't seen the sunshine lately thought I would share . Good Tuesday Morning Friends! I hope you had a restful night. It's cool but the sun is shining today. In the Winter months it seems less dreary when you see and feel the sunshine. One of the things I love to do is sew and do needlework. This time of year is good to work on my sewing projects. I've made a lot of things and some I display around my home in different areas and times of year . Last year I made a special area in my office to keep all my sewing materials on and together. I took an old bakers rack that I kept from my other house and turned it from a book shelf to a wonderful new space . I love to create and repurpose from things I already have and make them useful. I'm presently finishing up another table runner during these cold evenings while watching TV. I've got more projects coming up this year inside , so stay tuned to see what I repurpose and create next . Do you have special hobbies you like to do? Let me know ! Good Monday Morning Friends! I hope everyone had a good weekend and stayed warm and safe . It's in the 20's here this morning. This week we're forecasted to have all kinds of different weather , cold , warmer, sunny, cloudy . Just wait a day and it will change. Next week they're talking about another real cold front coming in . Y'all this time of year I just like to stay home and stay comfortable. There's so much respiratory illnesses around I just prefer to stay out of crowds and not be as sociable. As I've gotten older I do a lot of avoiding what I use to be in all day helping people get over those nasty bugs and illnesses. This week I'm back at decluttering and organizing. I'm in the middle of sorting out some old containers of papers and my desk . I've got the paper shredder working over time. It's amazing how much we hang on to thinking we may need it for something, and it just keeps occupying our valuable space . Y'all enjoy your Monday . Good Sunday Morning Friends! I hope everyone is getting through Winter staying warm, healthy and happy with each passing Winters day . Spring is coming ! This Sunday Morning, I thought I would share these thoughts. Y'all Strong people didn't just become strong. They've been through the valleys of life , hurts , disappointments, and loss . They've been frighten ,scared, and left with scar's some visible and some not . There is one that has never left them or forgotten them. This is where their strength and peace comes from. He is always there through the Valleys and Mountains of life . Anyone can have this Peace they just have to reach out to him . I experience the Peace, Joy and Love of my Savior each day . I hope if you haven't found this Peace you will reach out to him on this Sunday . Everyone have a wonderful and blessed Sunday. Hamburger Steak and Gravy ! Last year I did a series on Southern Diner Meals . We call their special of the day " The Blue Plate Special " . This deliciousness comes with a meat and 2 or 3 vegetables and biscuit or cornbread . Dessert sometimes is included or just a little extra. It all depends on how hungry you are. No Bake Chocolate, Peanut butter Oatmeal bars! These are delicious and have healthy ingredients and yes you can cut the sugar in the recipe. I often use a cup and increase the peanut butter to 3/4 cup . They're still delicious for a snack or dessert. If you don't want the bar cookies you can spoon it on wax paper and make cookies.
