Today the City of St. Louis Board of Aldermen recognized and honored the ⭐️Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. the Kappa Sigma Chapter⭐️ for its 100 years of brotherhood, scholarship and service to the St. Louis metropolitan community. Among those recognized was STL TV’s Joe Brown.

Earlier this month, The National Museum of Transportation was vandalized and needs help.

Vandals painted graffiti on two historic trolley artifacts causing approximately $20,000.00 in damage. These trolleys are used in daily operation providing rides for guests during the operating season.

The Museum is a small non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to protect historic artifacts for future generations. The Museum receives no government funding and relies solely on the generosity of the community to preserve the past for future generations..

The Museum is working closely with St. Louis County Police. If you have any information about this vandalism, please contact St. Louis County Detective Calvin McClain at 314.615.0716.

The two trolleys vandalized are the 1914 St. Louis Waterworks Railway #10 and the 1947 Southern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority #2740.

STL TV was there today as Mayor Jones, Alderwoman Alisha Sonnier, and Alderwoman Pamela Boyd, along with support from Greater St. Louis, Inc., announced an agreement for the investment of funds from the Rams settlement.

The new TRANSFORM ACT includes newly introduced amendments that will incorporate two new funds – one $74 million fund focused on Downtown St. Louis and another $40 million fund focused on North St. Louis. They will also tailor funds intended for childcare, postsecondary education and training, and workforce development toward employees of the City of St. Louis and their children.

A committee substitute of BB 153 reflecting these additions will be filed tomorrow morning.
