This Saturday we’re featuring the Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club!
The Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club (SHPYC), located at the former Outrigger Marina site founded in 1974, had its grand opening in June 1996. In June 2020, Safe Harbor Marinas purchased the club along with Skippers Landing, Kings Point, and Westport Marina, investing millions in upgrades since then.

Today we’re featuring another picture from Ladies Night Out!
While there is no formal hierarchy in LNO, the role of the host – who not only offers their home for the event but also sets the theme for the evening – is crucial. Some of the most memorable hosts over the years have included Robin Buck, who once organized a spectacular luau with belly and fire dancers, and Norma Short, who is known for her impressive Christmas decorations.
Each year, Norma decorates over 22 Christmas trees, including a fishing tree with fish and poles, crystal tree, angel tree, 12 Days of Christmas tree (that she keeps up year-round) and her “Party Tree” (called that because her granddaughter said, "There is a party in GG's Christmas tree"). Another standout host, Theresa Sellin, is admired for her stunning wood and epoxy bar, which often becomes a conversation piece at events.

This Saturday we’re featuring Modern LuXe Interior Design!
Ever since Liza was 5 years old, she’s been flexing her creative muscles by designing homes. It all started with her dollhouse, where she loved implementing her artistic vision. Little did she know that those early experiences would lead her to becoming the CEO of her own design business. After remodeling several homes with her husband Todd, they took on a project to design their forever home by the lake. That success inspired her to take business courses tailored to the design industry, and that’s how Modern Luxe Interior Design was born.

Meet the Ladies Night Out!
Have you heard of the neighborhood’s Ladies Night Out (LNO) group? Since around 2001, LNO’s vibrant social gatherings have connected women from The Peninsula, creating a space for building friendships, sharing experiences, and offering support. The idea behind LNO was to foster a strong sense of community among women in the lakeside neighborhood. Originally, gatherings featured full sit-down dinners hosted in members' homes, but in 2024, the format shifted to a more relaxed style with appetizers and cocktails, which has been warmly embraced by attendees.

This Tuesday we’re sharing about The Peninsula Community Foundation!
For 23 years, the Peninsula Community Foundation (PCF) has been dedicated to supporting nonprofits in the communities of Cornelius, Huntersville and Davidson. Join the PCF’s annual fundraising gala at the Peninsula Club on Saturday, November 16! This year's "Havana Nights" event will feature cocktails, dinner, live music by Brightside Band, silent and live auctions, a Golden Ticket raffle, and more. All proceeds benefit Lake Norman community charities. Last year, they raised over $150,000!

Beau, a 1-year-old Bichapoo, is living his best life at Lake Norman with his family—Sarah, Travis, and daughter Sydney. He was a special gift for Sydney’s 16th birthday.
The family found Beau at the Charlotte Dog Club, and after searching for names with her best friend Sofia, Sydney knew “Beau” was the perfect fit the moment they met him.

This Thursday we’re featuring the Nye Family Travel Adventures!
In July, the Nye family made their third visit to the enchanting island of St. Barths, known for its luxe vibe and flawless beaches. Katherine, Brandon, Sydney (9), and Brody (6) enjoyed their private villa, taking in the island’s stunning views and vibrant atmosphere. "St. Barths is one of our favorite islands. It’s absolutely beautiful and has the best food and shopping!" Katherine shares.
That same month, the Nyes also traveled to Italy, visiting Venice, Florence, and Rome to celebrate Katherine's father's retirement. The trip, a joyful reunion of 12 family members, was meticulously planned by Katherine’s mother and older sister, including detailed arrangements for trains and tours.

Meet Hunter Justice!
Hunter Justice, an 18-year-old from The Peninsula, has excelled both academically and athletically. A lifelong resident of Bethelwood Lane with his parents, Stephanie and Izzy (Davidson College Class of 1990), Hunter attended Davidson Day School (DDS) from pre-K through high school (Class of 2024). He also completed four years at Stanford University Online High School, taking college courses. His sister, Lexi, graduated from DDS in 2022 and is attending Duke University (Class of 2026).
