The IL National Day of Action to End Violence and Genocide on Transgender People will be held Saturday, October 1st, 2022, from 10:00AM - Noon, at the Illinois State Capitol, Lincoln Statue in Springfield, IL.
The rally is being held in direct action to the widespread introduction of anti-trans legislation across country, putting the lives at trans and gender non-conforming people at greater risk of harm due to violence and genocide
The rally will feature diverse speakers who will tell personal stories, provide information on who will be affected, and present a call for action.
Participants are encouraged to bring protest signs and participate in an interactive call to action.
The Phoenix Center will have a resource and Narcan table set-up at the event as well. Harm Reduction saves lives.
