Don't miss our lighting event July 21st at the Hive in Spokane, WA. Come learn, play and chow down. We will have the whole line of ARRI SkyPanels including the massive ARRI Skypanel S360-C, ARRI M-series HMIs including the powerful M90 9K HMI.

Whether you are a student or a working professional, don’t miss this chance to learn about the equipment behind cinematic lighting and enjoy food on us. Attendees of this event will learn about the features and use of each light fixture, including hands-on experiences operating each light, all in a casual and friendly environment.

This free event will be held from noon to 4:30 PM in Studio E of The Hive, 2904 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA, 99202. The Hive has ample free parking in their large parking lot.

Equipment will include powerful HMI daylight fixtures and high-end LED-fixtures from ARRI; as well as diverse and unique fixtures from Aputure, Litegear, Dedolight, ETC, Litepanels, and Quasar Science. An on-site generator will provide sufficient power to run all light fixtures, including the largest ones. You can learn about generators, and the power distribution equipment of the industry too.

This event is hosted by Shutterworks Rentals Spokane, a full-service grip and lighting rental house, who will be on hand to assist guests and answer questions about equipment. Shutterworks will be providing beverages and lunch from Caruso’s Sandwiches & Pizza.

About a week ago, we wrapped a pilot for an episodic show. Shutterworks Rentals Spokane provided a tow-plant generator, distro cable and boxes, ARRI M40 and M18 HMIs, as well as an Orbiter, Litemats and our 3-ton grip truck. We coordinated a 12K HMI as well out of LA. Michael Notar of Shutterworks, swung his 30 ft. Jimmy Jib a few days. www.shutterworksrentals.com

This art book was just released by George Carlson, one of the top living artists in the world and a close family friend. I had the pleasure of photographing his oil paintings and bronze sculptures. The artist portrait was a shot my mine that he liked.
