Today is the 40th anniversary of Ghostbusters.
I've told this story before but, I first saw it at the Fox theater.
Second day, I brought my friend to see it.
Third day, I bought a micro cassette recorder so I could listen to the audio in my car, because back then, if a film disappeared, you never knew when it was coming back or would be on cable.

Someone once asked me why I have a Nissan cube dressed up as ECTO 1.
When I got married, we bought a car for both of us, which led to minivans and four doors.
With the kids gone and Jani doing her own thing, I needed a car that was just mine and mine alone.
I've always wanted a "movie" car. If I didn't find this steal of a car and get the idea in my head, I would've found a windowless van (mystery machine) or a good running Volkswagen (Herbie).
She's paid for herself in many ways. Smiles from kids when I'm just at the store to getting a free meal at Taco Bell because some guy said "He remembered his childhood".
Jani said it's hard borrowing it because you always have to be happy when people see you, LOL, and yeah, there's been times when you don't want to smile back while driving it, but in the end, she's all mine.
And we ain't fraid of no ghost

We'll see if Facebook lets me keep this edit, since I had to move the audio around. The announcers talked about Ecto (and the upcoming Halloween XSpo) after it left the stands and talked over the marching band behind me

If you're downtown for the parade, I'm towards the back, I'm sure it's for safety concerns...
