to a time way before my time ever came around! I wish there was a way I could go back in time to the early to mid 60’s and go to several NHRA events from back then! What an experience it must’ve been. I love some gassers but I’d really love to see and film some FED’s with the push trucks from the same era like that!

Most of yall may not realize this, but I did not first start with SEGA last year! Back in 2014 I got a GoPro to take snowboarding but I went to my first race that year and just played around with the GoPro and made a video from that race. It wasn’t anything special, but it did get the attention of and Quain Stott so with the help of Wayne Swofford, I met both of them at the next race and made some new friends in Donovan and Quain. The rest of that year and the next year I followed them or rode with Donovan to all the races and taking videos for fun. Didn’t really know what I was doing, but I was having fun. Recently, I have spent the last few days searching on the for some info on drag racing history for my next YouTube video and came across some Gene Cromer posts and threads. So it brought back some memories and thought I’d share these photos from back then of me with Gene and one I took of Gene waiting in the staging lanes at I believe Atlanta!

This has nothing to do with cars but I got a question for yall. Primarily those of you in the southeast. Does anyone have any contacts or know somewhere I can do a little hunting this season and take my son? I am interested in spots for deer and waterfowl. And the closer to Spartanburg, SC the better. It’s hard to find places around here now days with all the people moving into our area and buying up land. Not looking for a big trophy buck right now. Just want some good lean meat in the freezer for me and my family. I would also love to do a duck hunt with a guide. I just don’t have the money right now for anything crazy but would be more than happy to bring the camera and get some great footage to help promote a guide business and work something out.

I don’t even know where to start. Western North Carolina you are in my prayers. I just got back to the US last night from being out of the country and am devastated by everything that has happened from hurricane Helene. I grew up going to the mountains of western North Carolina many many times as a kid. I have never lived here but have always lived just minutes away and it feels like home to me. Me and my family were affected by this as well. We lost power for some time and had to throw away almost all of our groceries but am thankful that is about the extent of our experience but am deeply saddened at how much worse many others have had to go through. Just know if you are one that has been affected by this storm, you are in our prayers! And it makes me very happy to see the community coming together to help all of those affected. It has been nothing but amazing seeing that from all the posts and stories throughout social media! We will stand together and get through this!

I will never forget the day that this happened. I was young, but still remember it pretty vividly. And I hope this country never forgets! RIP to all those that lost their lives that day and I pray for all the families that were affected from these tragic events.

Finished up the Union Recap yesterday and came across this shot of Ted McKee at Union. This race was against Daniel Haynes. Ted had a .004 reaction time and Daniel had a .001 reaction time! Both cars were wheels up and Daniel ended up winning by just a few thousands of a second! Anyone thinking that SEGA is boring needs to just come to a race and find out how competitive it really is!
