Apis 30c A homeopathic remedy available in both liquid and pill form for bee stings and skin rashes with swelling such as hives. It is available from homeopathic chemists.

Arnica 30c This is a homeopathic remedy from Arnica montana and is particularly useful for emotional shock or physical trauma. Use if a stroke is suspected (always call emergency services if you suspect a stroke). If given immediately after an injury it can greatly reduce bruising and swelling. Arnica is available from any pharmacy or health store that carries homeopathic remedies. Arnica cream is also available, which can be applied externally to bruises, sprains and blows.

Arnica Tincture Arnica montana tincture is for topical use only and is an effective application for bruises, sprains and blows. It is not to be used where the skin has broken as it causes severe stinging.

Calendula Calendula officinalis Tincture Calendula tincture is an excellent antiseptic healing tincture made from the flowers of Calendula officinalis. It is useful as a topical application for bathing cuts and wounds. As a wound dressing, dilute 2-t of tincture in ¼-cup of cooled boiled water, soak a dressing with the solution, and apply. If there is an infection present use hypercal, a combination of calendula and St. John's wort Hypericum perforatum tinctures. Never use calendula alone on an infected wound, as it will stimulate tissue growth before the infection has cleared, with the possibility of driving the infection deeper.

Clove Eugenia caryophyllata Essential Oil Wonderful for toothache: apply to a cotton bud and hold on tooth or rubbed directly on the area. A few drops in warm water will relieve pain, vomiting, and nausea (not morning sickness as it is contraindicated during pregnancy).

Comfrey Ointment An ointment prepared with comfrey Symphytum officinale root and leaf blended with anhydrous lanolin or oil and beeswax for those people allergic to lanolin. Comfrey ointment is an effective topical application for wounds, sprains, bruises, and fractures.

Hypericum 30c This homeopathic remedy from St. John's wort Hypericum perforatum is indicated for nerve pain, torn nails, sciatica, and cuts. It is available in pill or liquid form and is for oral use.

Hypericum Tincture
This tincture, prepared from St. John's wort Hypericum perforatum flowers, is used topically on wounds that are infected. Dilute five drops to ½-cup of tepid water. This is useful as a mouthwash after a tooth extraction.

Ledum 30c This homeopathic remedy, available in pill or liquid form, is indicated for deep bruising, punctured wounds, and insect stings. It follows arnica for bad bruising, especially around the eye. Ledum is also effective for the pain of fractures and joints.

Do not confuse true lavender with lavandin or other varieties of lavender. Each variety has different active constituents and may not be as effective.

Rescue Remedy Rescue remedy is a blend of five Bach flowers remedies: impatiens, star of Bethlehem, cherry plum, rockrose, and clematis. It is useful for shock of any kind, sudden bad news, panic, and unconsciousness. Topically, rescue remedy cream can be applied to cuts, bites, stings, burns, and sprains.

Symphytum 30c This homeopathic preparation of comfrey Symphytum officinale is effective for black eyes, bruising, bone and ligament injuries and fractures. It is used in liquid or pill form.
