Wow! Tuesday night was electric at the Sparta Senior High School, as the Class of 2024 for SAILS went through their ceremony. Outside, Mother Nature was causing quite a stir, while inside, graduates listened to speeches from fellow students Jackie Greydanus and Violet Carpenter, teachers Kirk Lebakken and Sara Anderson, the principal - Dr. Wendy Bernett, Superintendent Sam Russ, and Student of the Year - Christina Santiago. I had a pleasure attending and writing the story for today's Herald, coming soon, to a newsstand near you, or your home, if you are a subscriber. Have a great weekend Monroe County!

Hopefully everyone is ok through the storm. We’ve been listening to the scanner and sounds like there are many power lines and trees down. The energy companies are doing everything they can to get everything back up and running.

Good day Monroe County and beyond! I had a fantastic time interviewing Investigator Rob Walensky, coordinator for the WCMEG, for this article. We chatted for nearly three hours, on topics that spanned Rob's career, the majority of which was served in Monroe County, with the Warrens PD, Tomah PD, and even the Sheriff's Office in Monroe County. What I personally learned was that their efforts to prevent and stave off drugs and the criminals that push them is a strong and a constant battle.
These are some great humans, who spend a solid portion of their lives defending and protecting us all from those who seek to destroy lives and thumb peaceful order.
Thank you Rob, and all associated with the WCMEG. Thank you Sheriff Wes Revels, for putting me onto this story. Have a wonderful everything Monroe County!

Greetings Super Cool Awesome Humans if Monroe County and beyond! This is your Editor, in Cambodia. A lot has happened here, to include massive amounts of time spent with family and friends. We have been to rhe sacred temples of Angkor Watt, and I have seen old teacher friends, as well as students.
It has been amazing and tiring.
For those of you that read my column, I met my friend Song, who only has one arm and makes his living selling toys by a popular temple. We overpaid for a few items, and boy he was so happy, as were we. Also, rhe New Year was a blast. Have a wonderful week everybody!!
