In times of crisis - including two world wars - iconic British institution have always stepped up to support their local communities.


During the pandemic, they launched the largest support package in their history, redirecting food supplies to support the nhs.uk, giving out care packages, increasing food donations with Neighbourly and raising over £8million for NHS Charities Together whilst also supporting customers and colleagues.

It’s from the first dose of the vaccine being given in England nhs.uk and I’m SUPER proud to have interviewed the Oxford Vaccine team Jenner Institute University of Oxford for my book - and to have a photo of the very first vial of the vaccine….. 💉

Will you remember?

As restrictions ease further and we take another step out of lockdown, will you remember how things were?

In years to come, when this is hopefully far behind us, will you remember how we helped and supported each other throughout the most difficult of times? Will you remember all the rainbows? That messages were painted on roads and that key landmarks turned blue to thank the NHS? Will you remember the empty shelves at the supermarkets and the empty towns and cities?

Will you remember, and how will you explain it to your children and grandchildren?

My book is a social history record of these unusual times, with hundreds of photos of some of the things we all saw in the UK and around the world.
