The story behind the story

The Santa Ynez Valley Star was created in February of 2016 by Santa Ynez Valley local Raiza Giorgi. She created the Star as a way to tell the stories that matter to the area and promote the valley with advertising that compliments the ethos of the publication. The Star tells the story behind the story, and welcomes anyone who has an idea to share or wants to try writing themselves.

There are so many interesting and unique people that call the Santa Ynez Valley home, and the Star is honored to be able to tell everything from birth announcements, business happenings, lifestyle, arts and nonprofits, agriculture, equine, food and drink, education, events and more.

Make sure to sign up for a subscription to have the Star delivered right to your door for only $2 an issue! We publish twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays. IF you have a story to share send a note to Raiza at [email protected], or if you would like to advertise your business contact Shana DeLeon at [email protected]!
