To kick this year off right, we’ve decided to celebrate this fresh, crisp, and clean slate by zeroing in on the basics of launching a podcast this month — starting with only the foundations today. ⠀
⠀
Yes, we’ve been here before, but trust us it is worth reiterating. Maybe you’re already 100% confident with where yours is at. That’s fair! ⠀
⠀
But if you’ve thought about one or two things that just aren’t working for you or your brand anymore or you’re amped up to tick launch your podcast off your New Years' goals list early, here are a few of our favorite bite-sized basics to feed your thoughts.⠀
⠀
💥Your why — Starting a podcast, as you already know, can sometimes seem HARD. It requires a hefty investment of your time, energy, and (depending on how swanky you want it to be) resources. But it doesn’t have to be hard. ⠀
⠀
💥Your who — Ever heard someone say “niche down”? You likely have! Niching down is NOT just for finding your ideal clients. You can apply the same philosophy when crafting your podcast. This tactic is the best way you speak directly to the people you want to help or reach while opening up the doors for growing your audience organically.⠀
⠀
💥Your what — Okay, we have your why and who, but what are you going to say to them? Having a consistent, clear message allows you to create content that energizes you and one your audience will get something out of when they listen.⠀
⠀
💥Your how — The way you’ll deliver your message to your audience sets you up for a successful podcast. And there are a few ways you could do it: solo episodes, interview set-up, and story narrative. All of these methods can individually equate to a great show with a powerful message; however, you may find you want to combine all three. ⠀
⠀
Which basic do you need to work on the most? Let us know in the comments...
