Hey HTT Family,

We wanted to inform everyone that starting June 5th 2022 HTT Entertainment will be "under construction" for a couple of weeks while we navigate upcoming changes in our business.

Don't worry we will be back!!! All studio shows will be shut down temporarily so that our management can game plan and come back bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and thank everyone for all of your support.

But most of all...

Thank you for being the best part of HTT Entertainment!!!

Lol I totally didn’t notice the similar pages names until I went to share it but I completely agree! Sure, take the kids and have fun if you have time and can afford it but they just love spending time with you. Go to the park, play in the back yard with the water hose, play video games, whatever and you’re still making memories with you kiddos! Our little guy is still pretty young so from the adult side I don’t know what that will look like for us but kids don’t just vanish once they turn 18. I still did plenty of stuff with my momma after I turned 18.

I have seen this post come across my feed a couple of times today and I immediately said “nope… we are not doing this anymore”.

Once upon a time there was a similar post going around Facebook that said “you only get 18 summers with your kids, make them count”. And I shared it. It made me feel guilty and for whatever reason that seemed like a reason to share it with my friends. Looking back now, I see that was a total jerk move.

I get it. I get the point behind it. It’s supposed to encourage us as parents to enjoy every moment and embrace every day and make the most of our time.

But, it can also cause anxiety and guilt and fear. I have a 15 year old at home, so does that mean I need to panic and beat myself up because I only have three more years with her? Panic plan a bunch of activities? Hate myself for wasting the last 14 years? Why didn’t I do enough?

And do I call my 19 year old and apologize for not giving her the best summers ever while she was home? Kick myself for not doing more when she was here? No, that’s not fair.

Also, guess what? It’s my 19th summer with my oldest. She didn’t just vanish into thin air when she turned 18. She did move out but I still get to see her and make memories with her. She’s getting ready to go on vacation with us. She’s still a part of our family just as much as she ever was. She just pays her own rent now. I can’t wait to continue enjoying many more summers with her and her sisters.

Mamas, (and dads) when you see something like this come across your feed… don’t let it break your heart.

If it will help encourage you to plan something fun with your kids over summer, awesome. Do it. I love any reason to plan a vacation or a camping trip or a trip to the zoo.

But, if you can’t because money is tight. Or someone is sick. Or gas is like $5 a gallon. Or you have to work. Or. Or. Or….

Don’t let a Facebook post make you question if you are doing enough.

Please know that you are doing a great job. Your kids are going to remember any fun memories you make with them. And those days won’t end when they turn 18. 🖤

Stay tuned for changes coming soon! More to come when the school year ends and I can get back to human status 🤣

Don’t forget to show Sweet Melissa's Gifts & Etc. Some love! Here’s a little introduction post if you’re not familiar with her work. 💚

Happy Friday!

Many of you are long time followers and customers and some are new so I wanted to take a sec and say, “Hi Sweet Friends!”

My business started years ago selling handmade jewelry out of a suitcase to all of my friends & family. I then decide to make it a storefront shop in downtown Silsbee, TX next to the movie theater. I then migrated over to Kountze Trade Days and set up a building over there but unfortunately after a few years the trade days ended and I had to move to a home based business. Since then my business has grown online to a worldwide customer base.

I offer a variety of unique gift items for any occasion. Jewelry, bath & body, kids items, candy, crystals, clothing, hats, and fandom merchandise. I can customize for you, too!

You can find these great items via this page, Instagram, my website (http://www.sweetmelissasgiftsetc.com), my Etsy Store (www.etsy.com/shop/sweetmelissasgiftetc) or at a pop-up near you. Oh and FB LIVE shows coming soon!

I am so proud of what I have created and I know I couldn't have done it without the support and love from all of my customers, shop reps, friends & family!

Thanks for shopping with me…if you enjoy my page, do me a huge favor and share!
