It's that time of the month to reveal the club project of the month. Coasters!! These are so right in with the lemon trends going on right now. You get the stencil, paste, coasters, squeegee and directions. If you are like me and throw directions away it's okay there is a QR code on the instructions you can scan and watch how it's done. Or as soon as I get mine I will show it as well. This is a great way to "get to know" magnolia design co.

I got these table legs yesterday junking. When I say junking I mean I got them off the curb. I'm not to good for that. Give me a pile and I will find something. I love to make things from unwanted items. Oh I found a lot yesterday but I had G with me and couldn't fit anything in the explorer. Anyway, What would you make? I'm thinking a sofa table, candle holder are one of my favs to make from them, side table....the list can go on and on. I want to know what comes to your mind?

Did you know??

That with our silk screen stencils there is NO designing, NO weeding, NO printing, NO waste? That is the one thing that I absolutely love about REUSABLE silk screens. I started with a circuit, like we pretty much all do. There was so much waste. Waste in product, time, all the things. Yes our stencils come pre designed but ya know what? You can use bits and pieces from one design and another design to get the look you want. No waste, no time designing it on a computer and printing it. It's already done. All you have to do is plop it on your project and go. Rinse with water water and your ready to go again and again and again. It doesn't get much easier than this guys.

We had a new release this week and another on here in a couple weeks. I will show you when I get mine in. Should be pretty soon. They already shipped.

This is NOT my pic but what a great up cycle. Personally I try to use all the things I have laying around the farm to up cycle with. I love finding unwanted/unused items and making them fresh again. Free makes it even better.

So we don't always get things right on the first try. My intention was to use the white that I inked on as my pattern to burn. As I started, the "suede" just kept melting even though I just put a little line of the iron on it. I would hate to have this in my head next to a fire pit. 😂😂🤦 Epic fail. It didn't get any better the more I practiced. I think I will just stick to felt hats to burn and inking on baseball caps. My point is even though we don't always get things right we have to be willing to at least try and make mistakes. Half the fun is trying and seeing if our hairbrained ideas work or not.

One of my favorite things to do is up cycle. Now these flameless candles were great the way they were. I kept some red and black but why not put a different spin on them. So I did. I painted them with white chalk paint (yes I need to touch them up) and then simply added our stencil and black chalk paste. I was going to add our rub on transfers but I just couldn't decide.

Step by step with "Shelia" the Mannequin. I will add a video to the comments (if I can) on how I did the rub on transfers. It's an easy process just long as we wait for everything to dry. Also want to add that if you have vintage sewing patterns, use them. It looks so cool. That was my very first one I made for my mom but I don't have a pic. It was like 15 yrs ago.

Me coming into the weekend.....shake it shake it 😜😂😂

This is ply one of my favorite projects because it's near and dear to my heart. It looks so good hanging up next to my gpas saddle. The other rope you see hanging is Sarges from when he used to "get on bulls" you will see at the end. Supplies: surface, feathers and ribbon all from the Hobby Lobby. All on sale Stencil and paste: TinkerMelz.magnoliadesignco.com Lariet was my gpas but you can make this unique to your decor. If you want a lariet you can find them online, maybe farm and fleet and places like that.
