They warned me: "Set the bar lower, especially for a first campaign. $3,500 for a base funding goal is too risky."

I realized the newbie in me misbudgeted, so these pretty hardbacks are actually priced about $15+ below what they should be.

ARGH.

But it means everyone who backs the project on Kickstarter is locked into the original price. So that’s good news.

I never knew it would become my highest rated book in the series, or that the series would blow up a year later.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Can I just say that when in doubt, do it.

I was initially a skeptic when it came to Kickstarters and the stubborn spirit in me didn’t want to join the bandwagon just because everyone else was doing it.

But I’m so glad that some wonderful friends and authors inspired me to do it anyway.

On day 8, this Kickstarter has now broken $10K and I’m just in awe.

Thank you, thank you.

It also means we get three new illustrations along with END PAGES!

Y’all are helping me make this book so beautiful.
