A Birth of Breakers marks the 4th short story completed this year!

2025 is lookin' like a really good year.

It's an origins story, first drafted in 2024, rich with the lore behind how the Nine Realms were created and how the Bael came into being.

It's also my submission to the Reign of Dragons anthology coming to Kickstarter in March!

Often I'm pretty "meh" amount my first drafts, but I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

I'm sooo excited to get this into reader hands.

Oh, and by the way... the muses are BACK!

As you become grounded in more self-acceptance, you really stop caring as much about what people think of you.

When you have a big dream and mission, it just starts to matter less.

Even if your heroes reject or neglect or just dwell far away from you, it stings… but life goes on.

And what forges more self-acceptance and inner confidence?

After God, it’s the trials. The tribulations. The days of emotional wreck when it feels like you’ve permanently failed life and your dreams.

Every time you push through, you become stronger.

You accept yourself a little more.

You care less and less what people think.

There are those out there who follow your progress not to cheer you on, or add value to your life, but to judge.

And it don’t matter.

Your heart burns hotter for your dreams.

Girl, you got this.

Bro, you already the man.

It finally happened…

It’s taken over a year of blood, sweat, and tears just to get to this point.

As impatient as I can be, I will admit that the ultra slooooow progress of climbing to 500 has built a foundation of worldwide readers and fans that’s never been stronger.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who’s taken the time to rate or review A Breaking of Realms on Amazon.

What’s been the biggest learning lesson on this journey?

It’s to remember that slow and steady wins the race.

And that we’re all running our own race.

You’re progressing exactly how you’re supposed to. And even tiny incremental progress ought to be celebrated.

Onto the ultimate milestone—1,000 stars!

1. The true meaning of “making an impact” isn’t to save the world, but to just live out the best version of yourself and see what that organically does for others.

You might be surprised.

2. You’re always making progress. So don't measure yourself by your ideals.

4. You will be right for the right people.

I realized the newbie in me misbudgeted, so these pretty hardbacks are actually priced about $15+ below what they should be.

ARGH.

Can I just say that when in doubt, do it.

I was initially a skeptic when it came to Kickstarters and the stubborn spirit in me didn’t want to join the bandwagon just because everyone else was doing it.

But I’m so glad that some wonderful friends and authors inspired me to do it anyway.

On day 8, this Kickstarter has now broken $10K and I’m just in awe.
