Tonight (Thursday June 29th), Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is hosting their summer concert series. Trio Antiqua plays at 6:30. Update: concert moved indoors to avoid the heat. Chairs provided.

Have you visited the beautiful new KidSpace Park yet? The park is FREE to everyone. Some activities require additional equipment, and can be rented and reserved. This weekend, there are free rentals on various equipment. There’s also plenty to do without equipment. Check out the Shawnee Parks and Recreation post here for more information.

The Veteran’s Day celebration in Woodland Veterans Park was marked with the unveiling of a new memorial dedicated to Gold Star Families. This is the first monument of its kind in Oklahoma.

Saturday Schedule for the FireLake Fireflight Balloon Fest. With a few updates: 📢 Saturday balloon schedule updates.📢

9:01 a.m. update- Tethered rides won’t start until at least 7 p.m. tonight. The ballon field is closed until this evening. The next update will be around 5:45. We are still planning to glow at 8:30. Lots of vendors, live music and family friendly activities all day!
