Just a reminder I make Nobles Jewelery! So as you guys know I have recently had a change in employment which; I am actually happy with... It is giving me the time to focus on my art as you've seen from a few photos I have posted recently. That being said in that same vein, I am also endeavoring to be more productive with other things I do(like my jewellery making). If there has always been one thing I have been drawn to with Clothing and History it's the extra things that bring those outfits together. There are 2 time periods that I adore the most when it comes to the Jewellery styles why I like to try and Replicate: The Renaissance(I technically mean 2 different Times for this as England, and Italy are the two the come to mind first for me when I hear that word), and Victorian Era(The Edwardian also has some beautiful jewellery just to meantion). That being said I also have ventured into Steampunk styled Jewellery as well in the past. But I always love the Nobles and High Society Looks(many of you have seen me in my full Noblewear during Faires/Festivals, if you have not I'm usually somewhere). Originally Jewellery Making was Just a hobby I started in High School when I was short on money and wanted to give my mom a Gift(She still has the Necklace Earring combo I came up with), from there over the years I have made pieces for dear friends, And the look in their eyes is always true job. This has always made me feel proud. Well now I am moving forward to the next stage of that. I do have a few things that people she know first before they contact:
Do I make EVERY part of every piece?
As much as I would love to I have not figured out the best ways to do that as of right now. I DO like to reperpuse old Jewellery(I am always Looking work scraps if people are wondering) but I do also Regularly check out Art Supply and Beading stores.
Is EVERY piece the same?
No, Actually most of my work is individually unique, as some times I can only get one type of pendant or a set number. Unfortunately that does limit but that is not to say a particular piece is forever to be one of a kind. Sometimes I get lucky.
Do I do Custom work?
This is a hard question to answer as I see each individual piece as custom as I usually don't make the same one again.(See above question). That being said I will talk with you and discuss what you'd like, and I'll see what I can do(great thing is to know what colour options you are thinking, or the BEST thing is Send me a picture of you in the Outfit and I will make something unique to fit the outfit. So it is Custom to your unique needs).
How Long does it take?
Some things I can have done super fast, others take me a bit longer. Depends on the complexity and any issues I run into, unfortunately they happen in art sometimes. That being said I do try and keep you updated on the process. And at then END of my production time You will receive an image of the finished product. This is to ensure I get full artistic freedom, and it is similar to Jewelery makes to Nobles, that were just told I need this and then they were brought several Pieces(That being said I don't make several pieces and then have you pick but on occasion if your lucky, you never know.)
What do you Charge?
This is another hard Question for me to answer as I don't have set Pricing. But it is a mixture of material cost, time, and personal attention I felt I gave the piece. I feel as though I put a bit of me into anything I make so I want to feel as though I will be remembered by each piece I do. I have been working on a base cost and general list of prices for small items(I really like making earrings for Noblemen and Noblewomen for example, so I tend to have several ready[I know I have some in storage now somewhere as a matter of fact]) I also believe in the Old Barter System, as I do try and be affordable, And I know SO MANY talented people(Shout out to you all!), I am will to offer for trade. But that doesn't mean EVERYONE only offer trades, I do have 2 cats to keep fed and myself.
Where can I buy?
Well you can contact me through Messager, or Call me[also through messager](if you do please remember, I might be busy as I paint as well and I might have to call you Back). I tend to be pretty quick about responding.
The Pieces below are my Personal Noblemens pieces: And an example of stuff I've done. You see 2 different styles of Livery Chains(Chain of Office), 2 different earrings, a couple different styles brooches(Peacock, Star, Heart, and Small Shields shape), 3 different Sets of fasteners(I usually use a pair to keep my ruffle in neck from sliding down), and then the Large Grey Diamond shape I actually made as a Puff tie Pin but also works as a Brooch.
Thank you for letting me tell you guys and maybe I'll hear from some of you soon.
