A year ago, vs today.

I also got my shop name changed the other day which I looooove.

I’m so grateful for the 613 sales in 1 year. I had a sales goal of meeting 3,000 before the end of this year which I don’t think is happening.

I opened my shop back in 2019 and took a break for a while to really focus on learning about how Etsy works and tried again later on in the year.

Then COVID hit. My sales were going sooo good from 2021-2022. Everyone was so big on shopping small. And then the hype died.

Companies like SHEIN and AliExpress keep stealing from small creators and selling for a quarter of the price destroying small businesses.

2023 has been worse than 2020 in terms of sales and I try not to feel defeated. I know that every other small business is struggling the same, but it’s hard.

Friends, if you have the means to do so, please support your local small businesses and small businesses online. This year is really hard on us. I know a lot don’t have room for extra spending money this year, but if you decide you want to treat yourself, support a small business!

Just a selfie to put on my page. I got glasses yesterday and now I can see so much better! 🤓

As a Graphic Designer and someone with Chronic Migraines, my eyes get tired easily and I get headaches easily. I’ve added a blue light filter to my glasses to help with screen time but I could tell my vision was getting worse in general. Now I can see a lot better!

Part 1 of my linocut print. Starting a new linocut print. This is my process of drawing out what I want. As you can see, I do a lot of drawing and erasing and drawing and erasing. This will be printed, traced, and transferred onto linoleum. Then I will begin carving, inking, and transferring onto paper.
