Gladys and Sophie are at Union Station in Chicago ready to board a train to go back home. They talked to Gladys’ nephew, farmer Dan, and thanked him again for his hospitality and to tell him they weren’t coming back to the farm but heading directly home instead. They are definitely a tired pair of adventurers. ❤️

Gladys and Sophie decided they just had to visit the Shedd Aquarium before they left Chicago. They absolutely loved the dolphin who came to the glass and seemed to mimic whatever they said to him! The amount of sea life and aquatic plants was amazing.

Time for our tired travelers to check into a hotel for the night. Tonight Gladys and Sophie have chosen to stay at the luxurious Drake Hotel in Chicago. WOW is that place gorgeous!

Whew, this adventure is starting to wear our fearless duo out! So Gladys and Sophie decided to go to a fun restaurant and relax. It’s called The Girl and The Goat! And it appears as if Gladys is having a few cocktails to wind down! Not sure that having Sophie ON the table is a great idea! 😂

Today’s outing is a trip to Millennium Park, in Chicago, to see the free standing art sculpture affectionately known as The Bean! Gladys and Sophie are making sure to get a selfie or two to show everyone back home!

What a busy day! Gladys and Sophie got to see Wrigley Field, then watch a Cubs baseball game, and then eat at one of the top 10 restaurants in Chicago, Uno Pizzaria where the pizzas are 4 inches thick! I think we’ll all agree that they deserve a good nights rest! They are checking in to The Waldorf Astoria! The who’s who of the world have stayed there, including Lucky Luciano, Winston Churchill, Jack and Jacqueline Kennedy to start off their honeymoon, Douglas McCarthur, Elizabeth Taylor, Queen Elizabeth & many many more!

After a great ball game in which the Cubs won (of course) our adventuress duo need food! Today they are eating at Chicago’s very own Unos the best place for Chicago style deep dish pizza! Yum 😋

Gladys’ original plan was a quick trip to Chicago but she has decided that since they are already there they should see more of what Chicago has to offer! So today our adventurers are at Wrigley Field watching a Cubs baseball game! Go Cubs ⚾️

After a tiring day of walking through the Art Institute and then filling up their tummies at The Berghoff, Gladys and Sophie have decided to spend the night at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago! Oh my! The Palmer House Hotel isn’t just any hotel! It was built in 1925, has 1669 rooms, and was the first hotel to have light bulbs and telephones in each room. The interior is breathtaking ❤️

After a day at the Chicago Art Institute Gladys and Sophie had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants… The Berghoff ! 😋😋😋 Delicious German food! Save a doggie bag for me!

Fantastic! They made it to the Art Institute Of Chicago! They are going into the museum to see the Egyptian exhibition! It’s a top rated museum so I hope they enjoy all the exhibits ❤️

Our intrepid heroes, Gladys and Sophie, made it to Chicago and are now on an EL train so they can visit a museum! (Darn it I told Gladys to keep a leash on Sophie at all times!)
