We're kind of like what Rolling Stone used to be, only better, with less political garbage, and more music news.

Kinsolving is a current/former owner of many entertainment establishments in Nashville. And he tweeted “we were inches away from freedom” after Donald Trump was shot. Good for Mercy Lounge.

Patrick Crenshaw became interested in acting while entertaining American troops before World War II. His mild-mannered and gentlemanly demeanor led him to a number of roles as bank tellers, store managers, and grandfathers. He began his screen acting career in 1955 when he was 36 in the uncredited role of a bartender at a dance in the western "Texas Lady." Despite an acting span of more than 40 years and some 102 appearances, his first credited film role came at the age of 41, in "The Amazing Transparent Man" (1960). His major credits include "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967), "Bandelero!" (1968) "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (1978), "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" (1985), "The Hudsucker Proxy"(1994), "Everyone Says I Love You" (1996), and "Best in Show" (2000).

But it was his scene-stealing turn as Blue in the hit Will Farrell comedy "Old School" (2003) that turned Cranshaw into a bonified Hollywood star. Cranshaw could hardly go anywhere without hearing Ferrell's signature line from the film, "You're my boy, Blue," his daughter told The Dallas Morning News. "It's like he became a rock star in his 80s." (Wikipedia/UPI)

Happy Birthday, Patrick Crenshaw! You're our boy! See less

There’s this thing in Huntsville, Alabama called “Porchfest” and they have all the local and quasi-local bands play on porches around town. Some of these bands I don’t know but some I do and they’re real good. Huntsville Music Scene has done a fine job, along with Judy Spiva Allison (who’s contributed to our humble mag!) running the show over there. Pretty cool stuff. I’m jealous they got a beer named after them but I digress. Dig it.
