Hello, everyone,

On behalf of Ed Lab, we wanted to offer our condolences to all who have been affected by Tuesday's shooting at Ingraham High School which killed one student and landed a suspect in custody. We will post updates in the comments section below as well as support resources.

Our education reporters, Monica Velez, Dahlia Bazzaz, Jeanie Lindsay and myself (Jenn Smith), are working on gathering as much information as possible about this incident, school safety and security protocols, data on how often weapons are found in Seattle Schools, the effectiveness of various safety strategies and more.

We are here to listen gather your questions about this so that we can look for answers. We're also here to listen and share your experiences if you want to share them.

Your input will help us better understand what you're going through and help us deliver the information and answers you're looking for.

You can message us here, at [email protected], or give us a call at 206-464-2219.
