We're very excited for Roam(s) to make his return to the Viva this Saturday alongside a myriad of local talent! Hailing from Seattle, he's a DJ & producer that enjoys a wide range of house & house adjacent records.

Having spent the majority of his professional life traveling as a videographer, he has embarked on countless journeys around the world. His experiences of different cultures, chance encounters, & musical influences are infused in his sets, creating soundtracks of vivid memories passed.

Roam(s) is known for creating a nostalgic, yet fresh, sound in his selections, delivering an emotional density that connects the DJ to the dancefloor. With all of this combined, he creates a lasting impression on those he is able to reach, painting a cinematic energy in the room.

Residing in Seattle with mostly books & cats, Dane Garfield will be gracing the decks this Saturday for his debut Viva set! He's currently a resident of Flammable Sundays in Seattle as well as a recent graduate student.

Dane was once the owner of Re-bar which was Seattle's 30 year old iconic underground electronic music live theatre venue. He's known to play anything from house, techno, bass & breaks!

Sloth aka Jared Claghorn has been playing the deeper side of house music for over 20 years in the Seattle area. He's currently located in the woods just below the towering Douglas Fir on sacred Semiahmoo ancestral lands, he draws inspiration from the magical air, water, & earth around them to craft a sound for the urban club environment.

Sloth searches for sounds that bring healing & intimacy, out of everything, it was the love that resonated from the brave gay black & brown house scene that Sloth connected with. Forging a fortuitous alliance with the beautiful Reflect family, he brings his own unique & healing journey to the dancefloor.

We're thrilled to have Joey Phatone join us for his very first Viva set this Saturday! Over the last 30 years, he's played under the monikers of JOE-E, Joey Fanatic, & most recently, Joey Phatone.

It all began in 1992 with a set of direct drive turntables & a mixer, by '95, he maintained his first residency, & maintained residencies throughout Central Texas until 2001. Joey was heavily influenced by Mixtape series from Stress Records & any bootlegs he could pick up from raves throughout Texas. His mainstays were breaks, early progressive house, & trance.

Artists such as Seb Fontain, Cotton Club, & Full Intention were some of his inspirations. Later while living in the midwest, Joey launched his House Shoe Players on MyHouse YourHouse which continued from 2014-2017.

Amazing Lineup Tonight

We're thrilled to have Bex, known as BexfromChicago, join us for her Viva debut alongside many other talented local support artists tonight at the Loft!

Bex is a dancer turned DJ that started in the birthplace of house music. She began her journey with jazz, & picked up the trumpet in grade school, saturating her palette with Miles, Bird, Coltrane, & Herbie Hancock, & practiced that alongside her father by taking trips to jazz showcases.

She exposed herself to as much house as she could, boogying to Mark Farina & DJ Heather at West Fest, dancing to Derrick Carter at Smartbar, & joining the Chosen Few DJs for their Hot Mix Summer Wednesdays in the middle of downtown.

With song selections for the dancers & a penchant for jazzy melodic blends, she now draws a steady crowd of listeners from all over the world. If you’ve heard her sets on our Viva Recordings holiday Breakfast Jams, you know you can expect deep, jackin', soulful, funk, & disco house – anything with a groove (& a horn solo or two).
