TIL the old stand by Green Lake used to be part of this massive venue called the Green Lake Aqua Theatre - 5600 capacity - built in 1950 for the Aqua Follies (“combination of aqua ballet, stage dancing and comedy”), but it played host to a variety of other events -
Led Zeppelin actually played there once on May 11th, 1969!
Local resident Mike Mitchell caught a photo of Jimmy Page visiting what was left in 2018 when Scarlett Sabet (Page’s girlfriend) was in Seattle for a poetry reading.

Officially, the Aqua Theatre was shutdown towards end of 1969 because the stands were “found to be unsafe because of poor maintenance” following a Grateful Dead concert...
