We made it to Norway. 🇳🇴 This has been a life goal of mine to get back to the Dyrland homeland.
Traveling across Norway’s country side from Oslo to Bergen, and South to the island of Karmøy, we finally made it!
Soaking up the sights, sounds, smells, stories, and meeting of extended family. More to come!

A full day for crew flying in some wild weather conditions and beautiful locations for a commercial shoot for an East Coast client . We locked down state park drone permits, and military airspace waivers quickly in order to get the shot the client wanted. Excited to share the final piece.

DPdrones is excited about this project that has been ten months in the making. Yesterday Eviation Aircrafts all-electric Alice aircraft electrified the skies and embarked on an unforgettable world’s first flight.
We’re honored to celebrate this groundbreaking leap towards a more sustainable future.
This project took a ton of planning, coordination, and approval with the FAA to be able to fly next to the runway as Alice taxied out.

Always great to get to work with to capture aerials for to promote their innovation in alternative fuel sources, whether it be their hydrogen or electric semis. With gas prices soaring and having a ripple effect on our food and everything we consume, I appreciate a company that works toward alternative solutions.

Aerial footage brings so much depth and perspective to telling any story, and shouldn’t be an after thought or a quick add-on to production at the last minute. There is usually a lot more pre-production and special permitting required to allow drones to film, and it takes time to gain access and permission to fly in the most desirable places! This location at Deception Pass is in military airspace and a state park, which both take time to get FAA approval to fly drones in. Let’s chat about your ideas early and give ample time to film in those killer spots!

Congrats to everyone who snagged a ticket to ODESZA show at Climate Pledge Arena! The shows sold out so fast, there wasn’t enough time to post all of the rad promo material we captured.

DPdrones pulled off this technical shot flying inside of the arena, starting in pitch black, then navigating around hockey netting and the Jumbotron. We worked along side timing the flight path to the visuals, with help from & Eddie Hayes. Who can spot the Inspire in this shot?

Can’t wait for the show this summer—we’ll see you on the dance floor!

We were told DPdrones was the first dual op team to fly the new Sony Airpeak in North America. This aerial machine has been tested in Japan and is now making its way to North America. I’ve always been a fan of Sony Electronics for their great low light capabilities, their fast glass, and their precision auto focus, and the Airpeak S1 by Sony is actually the world’s smallest drone that can carry a full frame camera! We sure had a good time capturing dynamic shots in dual op mode with their 85mm lens and are stoked to push the boundaries, and test out the ISO at 12,800!

We’re feeling pretty honored that was recruited to test out and fly the new drone! We headed down to San Diego with .Coker for the official training to get certified to fly this new heavy lift drone, and had the opportunity to provide feedback for R&D on Sony’s first drone. We teamed up with to create marketing content for Sony’s Airpeak S1 and completed our first official shoot north of Los Angeles. We’re excited for all the potential and possibilities this drone has!

Happened to catch this commercial we helped shoot on screen at the Verizon store! With so much media being consumed on our phones these days, Verizon wanted this segment fit especially for their new Motorola. The challenge on this shoot was formatting the drone for a vertical aspect ratio, but we nailed it and are ready for more as media keeps evolving!

DPdrones has been working alongside Mortenson the past two plus years to document their transformation of Key Arena to Climate Pledge Arena. We’ve been the only trusted aerial team allowed on site, following strict safety guidelines throughout construction and the pandemic.

Flying a drone through the construction site, under the original roof, amidst a whole lot of steel and concrete posed numerous challenges along the way, pushing our team to test the limits of what is possible with today’s drone technology. But we always pulled it off and got the shots!

It’s great to get to work repeatedly with a client over the years to dial in their aesthetic, and support the innovative work Kenworth is doing with electric and hydrogen powered semi trucks.

2021, what a year! I want to first thank everyone who asked me to fly drone for them, for trusting me to nail the shot and capture magic in the air!

Aerial Cinematography is a beautiful way to add depth and perspective to any content and I’m so happy to offer many types of drone services at .

It has been a challenging year staying safe from COVID, juggling weather, and becoming a father during some quite large shoots but we were able to pull it off every time thanks to our growing team of pilots, production support, dual ops, and visual observers.

At DPdrones we can’t wait to see what is in store for 2022 and years to come! We look forward to capturing your aerial needs. As a new father I’m currently training our little boy to become the next best drone pilot, he has a ways to go but be on the lookout as we continue to expand our aerial team.

I'm really proud to fly drone for this video. This might have been my most difficult drone shoot I've been a part of. We were filming up at Pikes Peak, CO at 14,000ft elevation. I had an hour and a half to capture these drone shots in 60+ mile an hour winds over the course of three mornings in super cold temperatures with wind chill. Sometimes I would only have five minutes of battery life with my high altitude propellers battling the winds.
Thank you for bringing me on to fly drone for this project BrandQuery, LLC It's always a great time capturing drone footage for you of Kenworth Truck Co. trucks, and documenting their hydrogen truck as they make their way to zero emissions teaming up with TOYOTA. Chris Koser way to kill it on the ground, in their camera car, and Carlton Eide for being my eyes in the sky!
