Michael Polyakov, is a Seattle-based DJ and producer who proudly calls the Emerald City of Seattle his home. As a DJ, Interwave Surfer is inspired by celestial and other-worldly phenomena. He brings a spacy, sci-fi, and futurism-inspired sound to his sets, incorporating deep, minimal, techy, and breaky styles of music to create an ethereal feeling on the floor. Playing some of Seattle’s top house
and techno events, including Routine, DAZED, Studio 4/4, LOST, Makes Me Human, Soft Option, and Noise Complaint, has shown Interwave Surfer has what it takes to keep Seattle’s discerning dance crowds moving and grooving. He’s quickly carving a unique place in Seattle’s ever-changing, independently-minded electronic scene. That eclectic taste for lush music that inspires extraterrestrial wonder has led Interwave Surfer to ride the sound waves at various events and spaces across Seattle, including Monkey Loft, Kremwerk, Timbre Room, Cherry Nightclub, Ora, and Q. Alongside these historic spaces; Interwave Surfer has shared the stage with some of the most forward-thinking and storied acts in house and techno including Harrison BDP, Paolo Rocco, Anthea, Oshana, DoubtingThomas, 214, Will Clarke, Audiojack, and Supernova. On top of DJing, Interwave Surfer helps run the newly launched Restless Planet label and releases original mixes and demos on his SoundCloud and Bandcamp for fellow sonic stargazers to check out.
