We had the opportunity to work with InvestED: a non-profit that helps students from low-income families across Washington Get to School, Engage in School and Graduate.

Through a unique partnership with the Seattle Seahawks, 75 percent of the profits of all specialized license plate sales go directly to InvestED. These profits help provide sport equipment, fees, clothing, basic needs and more to help students thrive in and out of the classroom.

So every time you see a plate with Washington's beloved football team, know that it's helped a student stay in school and succeed.

Jesid and Christine were initially looking to get a few good photos for Save the Dates, but we quickly showed them just how much more we can do.

We spent the day together on Bainbridge Island, just outside Seattle, as they laughed and shared stories on how they got to where they are today and their plans for the future.

This was our first engagement or wedding themed shoot and we love the way it turned out, plus the ideas it’s sparked for next time.

30th Birthday Wishes

A few days ago Vinny Montemurro celebrated his 30th birthday surrounded by family and friends. When his GF Sarah reached out about a week before the day, she wanted Vin to be able to celebrate his 30th, not just with the ones that could physically be there, but with all his friends and family around the globe. So we coordinated with Sarah, reached out to everyone we knew that has been in Vin’s life up to this point and had them record a birthday wish just for him. Here’s how it went. Cheers Vin! This whole project is something nobody has ever seen. Creativity to the max out of @_sarahro and @jaychrismoore and they killed it with this concept. “The Top 10 Countdown” - a virtual dance experience, with routines from your favorite artists; TRL style. 😎 Visuals by shootmadonna] - 👏👏👏 We were so happy to work with them on this. They reached out looking for a few vids to promo this and the answer was immediately yes. shootmadonna] - who shot and edited the entire experience, uploaded all the footage, and after a few meetings with @mobhq to really hash out what they imagined in a promo, we went to work. Anything is possible with a shared shoot.

“It’s time out of your day, but it’s worth it.” Many of us were met with sheer boredom during the pandemic, looking for something to do that wasn’t just sitting around watching Netflix. Jaye wanted to spend that time doing something meaningful and while researching volunteer opportunities, she stumbled upon CASA. It didn’t take much convincing for Jaye to join and start the trainings to become a voice for children experiencing abuse or neglect. Watch Jaye’s story and hear how she felt called to action. “You just gotta care.” Meet Edward, a CASA volunteer helping kids reunite with their families in Snohomish County. Helping the vulnerable for him starts in church, but it’s a no brainer for him to continue that work out to his community. We spent two days with Edward, interviewing him and getting scenics around Washington to share his story. It will inspire you just as much as it did for us. Which part inspired you? Depending on their age, some kids experiencing abuse or neglect get an attorney. Those who are younger get a CASA. This PSA we made will teach you about the program. Later this week we’ll have videos on each volunteer to dive in more on what inspires them. These Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers who dedicate their time to helping children have a voice and speaking up for their needs. Without a CASA, cases end up stuck in the system, so volunteers play a crucial role in getting children into safe homes and reunited with their families. These volunteers are doing life-changing work and for us at Wayback, it was an honor to play a small role in it all.
