Dioganhdih’s vision is reflective of their Haudenosaunee ancestors' inherent honoring of the Earth, deep commitment to intertribal relations, civic art and cultural preservation. Using oration, live presentation and critical thought,

Dioganhdih provides in-depth cultural context and insight into contemporary Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) lifestyles, the ongoing importance and upholding of treaties, and the responsibility we have to the next 7 generations.

Dioganhdih’s work provides tangible ways to reciprocity and accessible steps to supporting and uplifting Indigenous communities.

About the Film:

Salmon are the lifeblood for many Indigenous communities in Washington. When the state government cut off their fishing access in violation of an 1855 treaty, the tribes refused to stand down. They joined the civil rights movement, using peaceful disobedience to draw national attention to their plight. Their efforts led to a landmark court decision and a decades-long battle for fishing rights. "Fish War" traces this fight from its origins in the '60s to today, using rare archival footage and insights from activists. It explores what guaranteed fishing rights mean in the face of climate crisis and human intervention.

About IRRFz:

The Indigenous Roots and Reparation Foundation (IRRF) is an Indigenous-led nonprofit established in 2021 to preserve history, culture, traditions, and language through education and advocacy.

All proceeds from the screening will go to IRRF.

with T.J. Morehouse – veteran screenwriter with over 25 years in the industry and a member of the Cherokee nation. His works include “Plastic Indian” and “June in California”.

Inspired by cinematic and literary greats, T.J. directed the modern Film Noir short “The Dark Valley.” Residing in Topanga, California, with his partner Gena Cunha and children, T.J. continues to bring authentic Native American stories to life.

This week's Jeremy Dutcher is an indigenous singer and classical composer, a Wolastoqiyik member of the Tobique First Nation in New Brunswick, Canada and a deeply talented and inspirational force of art.

His 2018 debut album, Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, was sung entirely in Wolastoqey and in Dutcher’s signature operatic style. It received critical acclaim, winning a Juno Award and the the 2018 Polaris Music Prize.

His sophomore album, Motewolonuwok is his first foray into writing music in English, but the singer has continued to spotlight Indigenous stories and culture. Check out his discography and work.

This week's – Edzi'u – a Tahltan and Tlingit artist based in Vancouver, Canada on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. An innovative songwriter and composer who paints stories of the past, present and future with textures, elders stories, words, and their ethereal voice - their new album "Potlatch In The Box '' is a stunning showcase of that artistic vision. Being rich in culture, full of passion and spirit, the power behind their use of sound goes deep within the listener, inspiring them to be bold and genuine, while living fully within their hearts.

Drawing inspiration from their roots and their experiences Edzi'u weaves together a tapestry of sound that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. The album features a diverse array of tracks, from the hypnotic the "Warrior Song" to the pulsing "Raven Clan Welcome'' - they shine a light on the wrongs of the past, including Canada's ban on the Potlatch, and how it affected their ancestors traditions, culture and world. That being said, there is a balance in the new music - a hope - one that shines with their rich, soulful vocals that has a style (and sound) like no other.

With "Potlatch In The Box" Edzi'u has established themselves as a major force in the Canadian music scene. Their innovative sound and thoughtful lyrics have earned them critical acclaim and a devoted following of fans around the globe.
