The world mourns a genius today, and we grieve for the loss of our cousin, our friend, and our partner in a great musical adventure. Brian Wilson wasn't just the heart of The Beach Boys—he was the soul of our sound. The melodies he dreamed up and the emotions he poured into every note changed the course of music forever. His unparalleled talent and unique spirit created the soundtrack of so many lives around the globe, including our own. Together, we gave the world the American dream of optimism, joy, and a sense of freedom—music that made people feel good, made them believe in summer and endless possibilities.

We are heartbroken by his passing. We will continue to cherish the timeless music we made together and the joy he brought to millions over the decades. And while we will miss him deeply, his legacy will live on through his songs and in our memories.

Our hearts go out to Brian's family and his loved ones during this difficult time.

R.I.P. Brian 😢

PRESS RELEASE: New 102.9 FM Station Brings Country Music with Local Programming to Pocono Lake Region

Honesdale, PA: Bold Gold Media Group has announced the debut of 102.9 WBMG, the area’s first new full power FM radio station in over 32 years. The new frequency, which serves the Pocono Lake Region counties of Wayne & Pike, has not only provided the area a new FM radio signal, but will bring country music combined with local information and programming to the region. 102.9 FM will carry Bold Gold’s popular ‘Lightning Hot Country’ format, Thunder 102, along with local Wayne and Pike County news, weather, commercials, community updates, emergency information and more.

“This is the first new full power FCC licensed FM signal designed to serve our area of the Northern Poconos since 105.3 WYCY-FM (known as Classic Hits 105.3) signed on-air over three decades ago, in September of 1993. It’s a very rare and special occurrence to be a part of the birth of a new radio station, and we’re so proud to be making some local broadcast history here and now”, said Vince Benedetto, President of Bold Gold Media Group.

The popularity of Thunder 102, which can be heard on 102.1 FM in Sullivan County, NY, and 104.5 FM in Delaware County, NY, led Bold Gold to bring the format to the Pocono Lake Region with the addition of 102.9 FM. Using the latest state of the art technology, listeners on 102.9 FM will hear news, weather and commercials tailored to Wayne and Pike Counties, while listeners on 102.1 FM & 104.5 FM will continue to hear programming designed for listeners in the Catskills. This new capability will afford both listeners and sponsors the ability to have a more geographically customized listening and marketing experience.

General Manager of Bold Gold Media, Pocono Lake Region Emily Grillo added, “it’ll be a whole new era for local radio and for country music fans in the Wayne and Pike County areas. 102.9 FM will be your local source for the best country music, and news and community info that is important to you and the community you live in.”
