Sound and Grading work look like they're progressing nicely. Music by Scott Keever - Human Soundtrack Productions is awesome (as always). I'm getting more and more excited to see/hear the final product. Can't wait to be able to share it with you all!

!!! Brief picture spoiler !!! (not any actual story points, just a BTS movie magic spoiler) I WARNED YOU!

Powerful tool, blender is. Complicated interface, but it's much better than it used to be! I have to figure out how to track the first 20 frames or so, It's a cool natural wipe into the scene from behind a pillar, but it occludes over 3/4 of the shot making it difficult to track. I may have to hand track those frames.

Masking tools are pretty decent too! I have to do her hair yet. The test pattern will be replaced by something more believable, obviously.

One down, One to go... before and after. And suddenly, 3 hours has past... bed time!

And so it begins! I've got the project over in Sound track and I'm starting to "checkerboard the dialog" Each actor gets their own track and I cut and paste every bit of dialog from that character onto that track. All the sound effects and non-dialog goes onto other tracks. The checkerboard is ONLY the dialog, making the audio easier to mix into the greater audioscape of the show. I'm re-invigorated for the project. I'm going to punch out a couple of FX shots in Apple Shake quickly to remove some light stands and camera man's feet "Schmiislegs"... then head first in to the technical tedium (it's like zen meditation really) of the initial setup of the dialog edit.

Jabberwocky (Director's Cut)

Our friends participated in the z-Fest and took a bunch of awards with it. It's a fantastic piece, they deserve the accolades. This was done just after principal photography for Paperclip finished.

Rough of Scene 0 came together wonderfully. It was absolutely worth shooting the new content. Once we lock picture, we'll move on to the dialog, audio and grading on this monumental piece. It's working out to be a fantastic project!

Started work on the assembly of scene 0. It's an establishing pickup scene to contextualized the rest of the story better. It's coming together pretty well this far.

Beautiful location shoot today by the second unit for a pickup scene to add to the production. Small crew, great actress (really blessed by talent on this production over all). ADR session afterwards went fantastically. Thanks to all involved for helping to push the ball forward on Paperclip.

We're starting the discussions of Color Grading and Sound Design for Paperclip! Grades look good, Nate... you captured some great footage to play with in post :) We'll post our color bible images when we get them graded so y'all can see what we've been up to!

Death Bed (2006)

So, Death Bed, our 2006 project that has received quite a few Official Selection laurels has finally made it up onto IMDB! A combination of enough people involved getting their credits up and potentially the change of ownership has allowed our 4th attempt at submission to be accepted! Congratulations to everyone who worked on it, and thanks to Will Vincent for reposting it.

We're nearing a locked cut... then on to dialog, foley, color grading, shot cleanup, and music -- which all happen concurrently with different folks working in parallel. I'm getting excited! Still a ways to go, but we're nearly past the big milestone in terms of the edit.

Tuesday, we've got a longer edit planned where we're going to attack pacing overall and get it to the point where we can start locking down the edit and get it moving on to the audio edit :) I'm amazed at the talent we (Four Squares, Flight Creative Media and YAFI) had working on this production. On both sides of the camera!
