Working with venomous snakes is a passion I wouldn’t give up for anything but people looking to get into the hobby need to realize it’s not always fun and games and not everything always goes as planned. This is a pretty old video working with my Ethiopian Cobra Belladonna, I’ve had her since she was just a tiny noodle and she’s just always been a fighter. It’s never a good idea to work with these animals while they’re blue and can’t see very well but that’s also when I find baths can benefit them the most. This little Naja Siamensis I got from @thewildhanbury last year is doing great and growing like a weed. As you can see he’s pretty deep into his shedding cycle. Naja Pallida or Red Spitting Cobras are native to Africa and like most spitting cobras their venom is a mixture of neurotoxins and cytoxins. Although they rarely cause human fatalities a bite would still be a significant medical emergency.
