Meet three present-day changemakers. These New Mexico women recognized that only one of the 500 roadside markers scattered throughout the state was in recognition of a woman. Because of their efforts, there are now almost 100 log-hewn roadside markers honoring the remarkable women, the changemakers, of New Mexico's rich history. After surviving the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Glenn Trotter bought an acre of land overlooking New Mexico’s Manzano Mountains.
