Please join us in recognizing Ben Pedrotti as October's KSBY Academic Athlete of the Month! 🏆
A senior at Arroyo Grande High School, Ben excels academically and athletically, maintaining a stellar 4.62 GPA while participating in vartisy basketball and track and field.
Ben’s coach, Robiy Ellison, shared: “Ben's efforts in the classroom match his efforts on the court and out here on the track. What a phenomenal human being he is".
In addition to his contributions on the court and in the classroom, Ben gives back to the community by volunteering as a referee for AYSO, and supporting local initiatives like the San Luis Obispo Children's Museum and the Concerts in the Park Series.
Ben's dedication to academics, atheltics, and community service truly sets him apart as an inspiring role model.

Congratulations, Nathan Robasciotti! September's KSBY Academic Athlete of the Month
Congratulations to Nathan Robasciotti, September's KSBY Academic Athlete of the Month and the winner of a $1,000 cash prize from Smart & Final! 🏆
Nathan, co-captain of Atascadero High School's varsity tennis team, led his team to an undefeated season and earned the title "Renaissance Man of our tennis team" from Coach Cooper.
Off the court, he excels academically with straight A’s in AP and honors classes, ranking among the top in his class.
Kerry Sherer, Activities Director from Atascadero High School shared, "Nathan has big dreams, and we are super excited to see where he will go. When we look at where the world is today, and look at these amazing student leaders, we know we are in good hands, and I can’t wait to see all the good he does in the world."
Nathan's dedication to his community is equally impressive—he even organized a fundraiser that raised over $1,000 for Woods Humane Society as a freshman. 🐶

Congratualtions Paul! The Celebrating Seniors Award's September Recipient.
KSBY and Coastal Communities Physician Network want to recognize Paul Kanton as September's Celebrating Seniors Award Recipient!
Paul is a retired military police officer and the current President of the Paso Robles Police Department's Community Volunteer Patrol Program (CVPP).
Alongside fellow volunteers, Paul takes on a variety of community safety assignments that allow police officers to be present where they are needed most.
Paul organizes all of CVPP's events and conducts youth educational outreach programs to help cultivate strong relationships between the community and local law enforcement agencies.
Outside of his volunteer work, Paul tends to his home alpaca farm.
Thank you to all of this year's Celebrating Seniors Awards Recipients, and those who nominated them, for making the Central Coast an even better place to live!
