WAM is super excited to announce that we were awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to support our Girls on the Mic program which provides free music and media production and technology training to 1,500+ under-resourced girls and gender-expansive youth across 30 San Francisco Bay Area schools. The NEA has been an ongoing supporter of WAM and we are so grateful for this support that has helped us grow this program over the years!

A huge thank you to Every Page Foundation supporting our new LA Internship program! This year, we hosted 44 incredible interns across our programs and provided a rich variety of learning opportunities, including:

Vocal Recording Workshop at Gold Diggers
Drum Recording & Hands-On Training at the Village Studios
Live Sound Workshop at The Lodgeroom
Behind-the-Scenes Visit to G1/SSL/Audiotonix

These highlights were made possible thanks to our sponsors, helping emerging audio professionals build technical skills, find community, and create career pathways into the industry.

We’re so grateful to Jen Watman for organizing and leading an amazing and inspiring visit to SSL/G1/Audiotonix, and Stephanie Loza for leading a fantastic live-sound workshop at Lodge Room!
