Michael Madfes RIP! KXSF has a heavy heart today hearing news of the passing of local music promotor/graphic designer Michael Madfes. With his companies SubliminalSF and RWS, Michael worked tirelessly promoting the local heavy metal/heavy music scene in the Bay Area, consistently putting on some of the most amazing shows. Michael was also the Manager at Ivy Room, and House Manager at Rickshaw Stop, always greeting concertgoers with a smile and a bad joke. He was the the promotor and organizer of the SF stop of the Heavy Psych Sounds Fest, and would occasionally appear as a guest on KXSF's Creeping Death radio show. The Bay Area music scene will miss his presence and commitment to local music. ROCK ON MICHAEL!!!!!
