It also commemorates the Stonewall Uprising of 1969, which took place from June 28, 1969 to July 3, 1969. This month provides an opportunity to raise awareness, celebrate diversity, and promote equality and inclusivity for all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
