Happy Juneteenth! ✊🏾 Every June 19th is known as Juneteenth or Freedom Day. It signifies the end of slavery in the United States. It marks the day in 1865 when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas and informed enslaved African Americans of their freedom.

Celebrate today with parades, events, and activities that highlight the history and achievements of the African American community.

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month is celebrated annually in June to honor the LGBTQ+ community. It also commemorates the Stonewall Uprising of 1969, which took place from June 28, 1969 to July 3, 1969. This month provides an opportunity to raise awareness, celebrate diversity, and promote equality and inclusivity for all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Celebrate all month long with parades, events, activities, and more that focuses on the history, culture, and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. 🌈

In 2020, he was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to finish the term of elected Vice President, Kamala Harris. He is now an elected United States Senator for California!
