Mike Tappero is a professional, San Diego based audio engineer and photographer who provides high-quality music production, live sound, and concert photography. After earning my Bachelors degree in Audio Engineering, I have produced, recorded, and mixed a wide variety of productions ranging from heavy metal. I also have had the pleasure of working with well over 100 local, nationwide, and internat

ional acts mixing FOH and Monitors. Over the last 10 years as an audio engineer, and 20 as a musician, I have built a skill set that is aimed directly at the highest quality of both performance and recording. Having played on and engineered many live and studio performances, I have a deep understanding of what it means to be on both sides of a project. This combination keeps me sharp and practiced, ready for any project that might come my way. Hi, I’m Mike Tappero, I am a freelance Audio Engineer and Photographer based in the San Diego area specializing in live sound and music production.

Over the last 18 years as a musician and audio engineer, I’ve worked with a wide variety of artists on the road and in the studio. I have had the unique opportunity to be on “both sides of the glass” which helps me understand artists’ needs both technically, and as musicians.
