Judging someone based on their vote often says more about your character than it does about theirs.
If you’ve ever told someone they can’t be a true Christian (or a good person) if they vote a certain way, that's a form of control.
And control . . . not hate or apathy . . . is the opposite of love.
Consider how your words impact that person's sense of autonomy.
Consider how much your unwillingness to release judgment against them causes you to live out of alignment with your authentic self.
Love isn’t about control; it’s about releasing judgment. It's about acceptance and honoring one another's free will.
In a world that’s divided, choose empathy, respect, and kindness.
Here’s the bottom line… there’s a 50/50 chance the candidate you voted for will not be the President Elect tomorrow morning.
But no matter what happens… after today, you will still have the power to show love & respect to your neighbor… even if you consider them your enemy.
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you
Matt 5:44
Let’s change the narrative and start building bridges to a better tomorrow, so our children can have a brighter future.
No matter who you voted for, I love and respect you.
And I hope we can all show love to our neighbors, even if we disagree. Let’s choose unity over division and compassion over control. 🕊️✨
