Thank you everyone! We each played a role as traversed unknown and sometimes dangerous terrain to cover nearly 1800 miles from Washington DC to San Antonio TX in just 42 days on foot between Sept 20, 2024 & Oct 31, 2024. Every single human who shared, posted, donated, assisted, ran or cheered gave something to make this project a success. We raised nearly $50k for a new program that will allow families to stay together during in San Antonio. None of this is possible without that support, so thank you to everyone and I’ll list the major players here, in no specific order: .note831 .co .redemption

In and out of the ending day 15 and beginning day 16 on the steps of the in was really cool. We had the pleasure of meeting with the amazing people from in and learning about their mission over some delicious food prepared by their kitchen staff who are all in . The journey continues.

It's been 16 days and 630 miles since our crew set out on this journey with a purpose, and the adventure isn't over yet!

Ken is running a total of 1800 miles from D.C. to S.A. to raise money and awareness for Families in Recovery, a new program that will keep families together as they work towards sobriety.

You can support Ken and this crew by donating to his cause, sharing this page, and spreading the word about his mission.

You can even and join his virtual 5K.
All funds raised go directly towards this brand new program.

Playing catchup photo dump Days 11, 13, and 14. Sometimes they all run together but each person we are meeting and hearing their story, that memory from them will be with me for a very long time. Promise I’m not just playing games on my phone and if we’re friends you know I’m not texting because you haven’t gotten any text messages. We stay pretty busy for sure.

If you're just joining us, Ken is running to raise money for a new program in San Antonio, Families in Recovery.
In order to do that he is running 1800 miles, from Washington D.C. to San Antonio. His goal is to raise $90,000 and to reach that goal he needs to raise $50 per mile.

If you would like to help Ken reach his goal, or learn more about his story, you can do so at runkenrun.org

Twelve is my lucky number and day 12 was special. As Ken nears completion on the day, he noticed a recovery center in the last town he came through. Ken went inside and introduced himself but they already knew of him from recently finding and seeing the RunKenRun.org website. In the meantime and myself already had the RV set up and ready for dinner. When Ken arrived we were also greeted by from our media team. The four of us returned to the recovery center together to meet with a together and talk about their journey and ours. Naturally occurring connections like this have happened quite a few times and really drives home our .

Mount Elbert again but this time from the North. It’s shorter but steeper and quite the trip, taking six and a half hours round trip with 30 minutes of reflection time at the summit. Thankful to Steph for agreeing to join me on this, waking up early to be on the mountain by 4am hurts a bit but it’s worth it when we catch the sunrise from above the tree line go back to town for burgers and then watch as the afternoon storms roll in as we’ve been done for quite a while.
