Would you like to learn more about why? Come along on a sparkle lit moonlight hike at the Lillie Park trail loop! Listen for the sounds of owls, foxes, and other animals, and enjoy the crunching from your boots through the snow, echoing in the crisp, wintery air... Special congratulations to this kitten for finding an adopter!!

Spitz arrived at our shelter missing his tail. We're not sure why, but it's likely that he was born that way; Manx Syndrome is a condition in which the spinal cord is shortened, resulting in no tail at birth.

This spine abnormality can sometimes have neurological effects, but so far the only things different about Spitz are his slightly uneven gait and occasional bunny hops. We expect him to have a long and happy life with his new adopter! ❤️
