MR.LYFE also known as DENNO XL, was born Dennis Tennessee Tamba Fitzjohn on the 29th of September, in the western areas of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Born to his parents, Philip Tennessee Fitzjohn(Krio) and Doris Yaffa(Kono), MR.LYFE partially grew up in several places including Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and the United States. He attended the Wesleyan Primary school in kissy Thunder Hill and the Methodist Boys High School before being enrolled into Datus Secondary school in Accra, Ghana.
MR.LYFE finally entered the United States where he was reunited with mother, and completed his senior secondary school education, then enrolled in to the music production school at Globe University.
MR.LYFE as a ghost-writer for several local artists, the then founded his very own independent record label, NEWFAACE RECORDS in 2006.
In the August of 2010, he married his high school sweetheart, Esther Ellis Fitzjohn, and live in the US with there three children.
