“The Juneteenth Story: From Galveston, Texas to Minnesota” will screen at the Twin Cities Film Fest on Oct. 26. The film traces the history of Juneteenth, starting with its origins on Galveston Island, and drawing the connection to present-day Minnesota, where the holiday was observed state-wide for the first time in 2023.

In partnership with Minnesota Humanities Center and Ujamaa Place comes film 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚎𝚝𝚎𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚑 𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢: 𝙵𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝙶𝚊𝚕𝚟𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚗, 𝚃𝚎𝚡𝚊𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝙼𝚒𝚗𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚘𝚝𝚊 produced by OMG Studios.
