UPDATE: The female has now been officially identified as Amanda Briana Naslund, 16.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a female found deceased in Minneapolis early Tuesday morning.

According to a press release, the female - who possibly went by the name ‘Amanda’ - was approximately 15-25 years old, 5’8” and 116 pounds, with green eyes and medium-length brown hair and red highlights. The press release also states she may have been from the area of Saint Cloud.

The female also has tattoos which may help in identifying her, including: a star on her left thigh, two stars on her upper left chest, two “X” with a possibly smiley face on her left ankle and an indiscernible tattoo on her outer right knee.

Around 8:15am multiple large fights broke out at Tech High-school off 33rd Street S. SCPD and state patrol responded, as school administrators and staff were unable to break the fights up. No word on any injuries at this time.

SAINT CLOUD: Squads currently on scene of a shooting in the 1300 Block of E St. Germain Street. Female with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen and head. Medics transported the female to St. Cloud Hospital on the reds. No word on suspects/vehicles involved. Scene remains active as if 3:00am

We’re still here!

We just wanted to remind everyone that St. Cloud police channels are encrypted. Which means it’s very difficult to keep everyone in St. Cloud informed of what’s going on. We have learned that Stearns County will be going encrypted by January 2024, which would include all the city PD’s and the SCSO to go fully encrypted.

SAUK RAPIDS: Officers are on scene of a suicidal female armed with a knife barricaded inside a apartment unit in the 300 Block of Division Street. Officers are attempting to negotiate with the female.

As of 8:30pm more officers were arriving, with less-lethal options and a shield.

SAUK RAPIDS: Officers and troopers are on scene of a major crash on Benton Drive near 1st Street S in which a female was ejected from the vehicle. The female is believed to be the driver. Prior to the crash a Sauk Rapids PD Officer attempted to stop the vehicle for traveling at a “very high rate of speed”, the vehicle took off and officers did not purse. Officers were not pursuing during the time of the crash.

Benton Drive is closed for the time being as State Patrol does reconstruction on the crash.

SAINT CLOUD: Officers are on scene of a assault at the New York Gyro, 850 University Drive S for a reported assault. Medics are also en-route. Circumstances are unknown due to encryption.

One of your neighbors had racial slurs hurled at them as they walked into the St. Cloud Walmart. When they came out after shopping, they found this racial slur keyed into their car. SCPD is working with the victim and the store to view the security footage and find the person who committed this hate crime.

While we are not sharing the name of the victim, if you would like to send a welcoming and affirming note to them, send it to us and we will deliver it.

Hey all, I’m July we created a group named “St. Cloud Safety”, we recently opened up a chat called “incident chat.” This chat is designed for community members to communicate or ask questions when they see some sort of emergency response presence. We thought this would be a good idea since SCPD is now encrypted and we’re unable to keep you updated on situations occurring in the city. This group is also designed for members to post any suspicious activity they’ve seen, such as ring door bell videos may be posted.

Fire investigation underway on St. Cloud’s Southside

Around 5:30pm, February 9th all five St. Cloud’s fire stations were paged on a report of a business on fire in the 1000 Block of 33rd Street South. The business was Sells Reconditioning Center. Once SCFD crews arrived they saw heavy black smoke coming from the roof of the business. The estimated damage is around $350,000. No one was injured during the fire. The St. Cloud Fire Department was assisted by St. Augusta Fire Department, Sartell Fire Department, St. Cloud Police, and Mayo ambulance.

Some recent incidents in the St. Cloud area within the past few days.

- BCA and Sartell fire Marshall investigation underway after a apartment complex fire yesterday evening in the 300 Block of 11th Ave E in Sartell. There was reports of at least one injured, possibly a juvenile. We expect more info as the investigation continues.

- Police confirmed that one is dead after a shooting inside a apartment unit in the 300 Block of 14th Ave SE in St. Cloud Tuesday night. The victim has not yet been identified and no arrests have been made.

- St. Cloud police say a 15 year old suspect is in custody after a SWAT response at a residence near Veterans Drive & 34th Ave N. 911 callers said that a male suspect was firing a gun outside and then was seeming entering the house.

SAINT CLOUD: FATAL SHOOTING- 50 Block of 4th Ave N- Officers are on scene of a fatal shooting behind an apartment complex. Medics and fire were dispatched but now canceled, confirmed DOA.

HAPPENING NOW: We’re getting word of a active police situation in the 800 Block of 18th Ave S in St. Cloud. We’re told by witnesses that multiple nearby streets are blocked by multiple squad cars and SWAT is on scene.

SAUK RAPIDS: State Patrol was in pursuit of a vehicle which eventually ended in the area of Golden Spike Rd NE & Mayhew Lake Rd NE. The suspect rammed a squad and had a suspended drivers license. The suspect was taken into custody and was said to possibly be having a medical issue.

BREAKING: St. Cloud police are investigating a shooting at the Dubow Textile building located off Lincoln Ave NE in St Cloud. Information aired on the St. Paul Police channels indicate this to be a fatal shooting, but is yet unconfirmed. More info is expected by SCPD later today.

UPDATE: Erica Shameka Roberts has been located and arrested. Information through a CrimeStoppers tip resulted in Erica Shameka Roberts’ arrest in Texas by the Longview Police Department. Homicide investigators with the Minneapolis Police Department have questioned Roberts. Roberts remains in custody and faces charges of 2nd Degree Murder. Extradition efforts are underway.

Erica Shameka Roberts is charged with murder for the fatal shooting of Tanasha Austin which occurred on 3/18/2022. This shooting during a verbal argument in front of 1907 Colfax Ave S in the City of Minneapolis.

NEW: On Thursday the 15th of September of this year John Fillah AKA St Cloud Superman, was arrested by St Cloud police officers and was charged with disorderly conduct and Blocking an intersection, his bail was set for $2,000. This happened when Mr. Fillah was driving down a road on St Cloud State campus yelling slurs and blaring a clown horn at a group of students, security officers, and other campus staff. This is his first arrest since June of 2016 according to the Stearns County Jail Roster.

Police are investigating a alleged hate crime/burglary incident at the St. Cloud Islamic Center. The suspects, which were both white, were taken into custody at a nearby hotel and a search warrant was executed.

Avon shooting updates

7:45- WB I-94 near the Avon Ave exit. Caller states a occupant in a black SUV with Michigan license plates shot at him, and continued WB towards Albany. 7:47- State Patrol en-route to assist Avon officers and Stearns deputies.

7:50- Caller says he may have a GSW. 7:51- Melrose ambulance staging. 7:53-Melrose PD being advised. 7:55- The caller is saying he has an injury to his face. Dispatch is starting Mayo. The caller is now parked in the 15000 Block of Co-Rd-159 in Avon.

7:58- Law enforcement on scene confirming that the victim has a GSW to the face and has ear and nose bleeding. 8:00- Law enforcement has eyes on the vehicle WB I-94 in Melrose . 8:02- Vehicle is a black Ford Escape. 8:04- Felony stop in Melrose on I-94 near 2nd Ave S

Suspect in custody- Spent she’ll casings found in the vehicle. No gun yet.
