We’re ready for you!!!

This weekend marks our first OFFICIAL music submission period OPEN TO THE PUBLIC !

We will be accepting new music submissions for station rotation consideration EVERY WEEKEND on Friday’s @ 9pm - Sunday’s @ 9pm Pacific.

This songs submitted over the weekend play in ‘The Queue’ all week for our listeners to vote on. The following Friday, the songs with the most votes will be added to the radio station rotation.

Had to pop a bottle one time!!! I’ve been working on this station for over ten years. It was always a lack of knowledge, money and/or technology that would not allow the vision to fully come to life. Self investment, patience and persistence led us to today. We hit a milestone that allows us to finally move forward with our official launch strategy! 🍾🥂

Our mission is to create a music ecosystem that will allow artists and their supporters to develop meaningful, thriving communities with little to no involvement within the traditional music industry space. We believe it is not only possible, but necessary and long overdue.

That said, please join us on our mission! This is truly a grassroots effort and we can use all the help we can get. If you know any artists that are serious about their music and deserve a larger audience, send them our way! If you or your people love discovering musical gems from lesser known artists, then sign up today!

We are officially in Beta Stage and accepting music from artists for airplay consideration. We are also considering additional programming like morning shows, Dj sets, culture-related podcasts, etc. We will simultaneously build listenership so the station grows proportionately.

Yup you read that right. 12% of the money generated from music actually goes to the musicians themselves. So question is...where does the rest of the money go? I think we all know the answer. At this point, musicians and recording artists are getting blatantly robbed just like they did back in the 50’s and 60’s when contracts and percentage splits where not clearly defined. Not much has changed from the artists perspective without one educating themselves on the matter. It’s just not right. It’s time for us to take our power back and the only way to do it is together!
So before putting your music out on the Internet, the least you can do to protect your art is to make sure you have your metadata in order. Most DAW’s include the ability to specify not only all of the pertinent song information, but also your contact information, publishing info, etc. so that no matter where your file ends up, it will always lead back to you. 💯 ⁣⁣⁣⁣

I read this post on a popular hip-hop artist advice page today and I had to say somethin’ 😜.
Hip-hop artists and musicians in general are encouraged to give their music away for free or close to it. Why? Since when did recording artists sign up to spend all of their time, energy, and money on their craft all to give it away with the promise of one day making huge sums of cash? Meanwhile graphic artists make a comfortable living, painters can commission their pieces for thousands, millions, etc. Streaming has worked for some, but for the majority of indie artists the entire revenue model makes it really hard to earn money from your craft without employing other creative means of doing so.
