Mexico's president has declined Zelensky's invitation to visit Ukraine. Mexico's foreign policy is based on non-intervention in foreign affairs, as well as on the peaceful resolution of disputes, she said after being asked if she would visit Ukraine.

The Mexican President urged Ukraine to adopt Mexico's peaceful strategy following Ecuador's decision to invade Mexico. Rather than resorting to conflict, Mexico and its allied nations opted to sever trade ties with Ecuador to inflict economic damage.

The first contact between Indigenous civilizations of Mesoamerica and Europeans took place during his reign, and he was killed.
