2023 has been a year of learning to adapt, discovering that the imperfections of life make it beautiful, and realizing the importance of rest.

I could’ve never guessed back in January where I would be right now but I’m grateful none-the-less. This year has reminded me of why I love what I do, why I’m obsessed with serving the couples I get to work with, and the beauty of true love.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me throughout 2023! To all of the couple’s I’ve had the privilege of working with this year: I’m so grateful for you and SO excited to see you start this journey of marriage with your significant other! And to all of my 2024 couples: I literally CAN’T WAIT to celebrate you!

I’m not one to hop in front of the camera too often, but today, it just felt right!

I’m Kayla - I’m the owner and founder of Milestone Media. We’ve been in business for over 5 years now and I literally couldn’t imagine my life any differently! I LOVE what I get to do, the couples I get to work with, and the incredible people I am surrounded by in this field!

Something I always tell my couples is to simply let loose and be themselves - authenticity over everything. So here I am, showing up and being myself - here are the most important things to know about me:

✨fun couples who aren’t afraid to be themselves are my JAM
✨wedding days will always and forever be magical to me
✨being behind a screen editing is 80% of my job, so I LOVE when I’m able to be in person with my couples, getting to know them!
✨I have a crush on my second shooter😉 we’ve been together for 6 years now!
✨fall weddings are quite literally my favorite. I can’t tell you how excited I am for what’s coming up this fall!

With so many new faces around here, I figured it’s about time I reintroduce myself!

My name is Kayla! I’m the owner and founder of Milestone Media Films. I started Milestone almost FIVE years ago and have been running full steam ahead with it ever since! I wish I had the opportunity to sit down with each of you and get to know you, but until I have the chance to meet you in person, I’ll leave you with a couple fun facts about me:

🐶I’m a proud Golden doodle mom of TWO - Charlie and Gracie!!
☕️I am a HUGE coffee fan but can’t drink a full glass for the life of me
🏅I once won a Friends trivia competition against 70 other teams (very proud of this one)
🌴During my sophomore year of high school, I lived in Florida. Wishing for that warmer weather right about now.
🏡I am 1 of 6 - 4 sisters 1 brother!
✨I was named after a Days of Our Lives character
🏐I play in a volleyball and kickball league - don’t knock it until you try it…seriously!

To my engaged couples out there, something I’ve loved about a few of the recent weddings I’ve shot is having a champagne pop! Whether it’s the bride and her bridesmaid, the whole wedding party, or even just a private celebration shared between the bride and groom - a champagne pop is a fun element to add that not only makes for great photo and video content but also is super fun to partake in!

If you’re getting married in the near future, id highly recommend including this in your timeline of your special day. Save this post so you remember and comment if you plan on or already included a champagne pop at your wedding!
