I have personally witnessed this to a great extent from parents and guardians. They have no idea the impact they are leaving on their children. Sometimes, one needs to swallow a hard pill, to look into the mirror to realize they need to make positive choices for the future of their own children.

Child emotional/psychological abuse is defined as behaviors, speech, and actions of parents or other caregivers that have a negative mental impact on children. It can also be referred to as child neglect. The U. S. government defines emotional abuse as neglect in which there is a “pattern of behavior that impairs a child’s emotional development or sense of self-worth” (HHS, 2011).

Question: How many kids in the last 5 years have left the RCAS to go to another school system or to be homeschooled due to bullying by either kids or staff/admin, or mental or physical health, or lack of a quality education/classes desired?

Legit question….

Our society mostly emphasizes developing logical, procedural thinking skills, but this isn't the only way to come up with great ideas. Forgetting to develop our lateral thinking skills may mean missing out on unexpected innovations.

Special School Board meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19th at 4:30 pm in the School Board meeting room. We requested a change of meeting due to parents trying to get time off and make accommodations but were denied.

“Calling another special meeting will require another Board vote at our regular February 14th meeting, per Policy 9130 and the Open Meetings Act.”

However, in order to call Special Meetings per RCAS Bylaws:
