We worked on a logo and website redesign for in Ithaca, NY. The rebrand was inspired by the restaurant’s commitment to the farm-to-table experience that celebrates the local agricultural community, the many farmers they partner with, and the culinary industry and education they foster. The newly launched website also features photography we captured and a digital menu we designed. We also designed a hardcopy menu that will be presented to restaurant guests.

As a small business, we understand the challenges many other small businesses face—from the financial bleed that comes with starting a new business to balancing that with the investment needed to help get the business out there and going. So it feels good anytime we can support another small business and meet them where they are, especially one we already love and support as consumers. We loved the Elmira Juneteenth Celebration and capturing the moment's joy this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who agreed to allow us to do so. I spend a lot of my time shooting from the ground. Drone flying is mostly ’s domain, but man do I love the tech, and gear, and craft, and skill. And so do many other women. Women in videography and photography are not just influencers. In my career, I have met some kick ass women in the field: , , , …and so many more.
But still, and according March8.com to “Women make up less than a quarter of all professional photographers, despite up to 80% of graduates being women. The obstacles that women face in getting jobs and being paid the same as male photographers discourage women from entering the field and make it harder for them to succeed.”
And it’s not just portraits, fashion, and weddings. Women are out here shooting landscapes, wildlife, comercial, street photography AND videography, drone or otherwise.
It’s time we shift our mindset of what we think a kick-ass photographer looks like. Cause more often than not, she’s a woman. And she’s out there killing it and creating amazing content. Food for thought.

One of our stops included @senecalodge in Watkins Glen, a lodge, restaurant, and bar that has been family-owned for three generations now. Walk into their bar and be surrounded by memorabilia that tell the story of the Finger Lakes region, the Watkins Glen community, and the lodge itself. We had a great time working with the Destination Marketing Orgs for Visit Buffalo Niagara, Visit Rochester, Visit Syracuse, and Visit Binghamton to bring to life a “road trip” tour of the recently formed Upstate Eats Trail. Working closely with each organization and their local partners, Brave World Media concepted, planned, produced, art directed, and shot the campaign. Deliverables included hero video cuts, a feature video for each city, and social media assets (photos and videos) for the local teams to use on their channel and on the Upstate Eats Trail social channels.
